Calverly, Green Belt

We are pleased to share that planning permission has been approved for our single storey extension in Calverley, set within the green belt. The proposal introduces a new dining and living space that naturally extends the existing home — strengthening its connection to the surrounding garden and landscape.

The design carefully balances contemporary detailing with local vernacular. A coursed dry stone plinth anchors the building at ground level, with vertical cedar cladding above and a standing seam zinc roof folding over the form. A sedum roof layer will help the extension sit sensitively within its setting while enhancing biodiversity.

The distinctive roof profile and refined material palette create a considered, understated addition that respects nearby agricultural buildings while clearly expressing its own identity. It is rewarding to see this project progress to the next stage.
